Little is known about this group of extreme musicians who hail from parts of the Netherlands and Belgium. Stalaggh comes from the German word "stalag" which was a WWII concentration camp. The extra G and H stands for global holocaust. The real names and faces of the members involved will never be revealed and they will never perform live. The most extreme factor most commonly known for Stalaggh is that they actually have mental patients do the vocals for their albums. One in particular "guest" vocalist was locked away for brutally stabbing his own mother over 30 times to death at the age of 16. One of the "musicians" was almost murdered during the recording process and it was all recorded. The reasoning for recording the mental patients is because the band really wanted the hatred and painful emotions to be REAL and truly felt. It's almost hard to believe but these are the facts of this sick band. One thing is certain, Stalaggh truly represents the total annihilation of all human life...

Costantin Brancusi (1876-1957) was one of the founding figures of modern sculpture and one of the most original artists of the twentieth-century. His groundbreaking carvings introduced abstraction and primitivism into sculpture for the first time, and were as important as Picasso’s paintings to the development of modern art.

Vlad Tepes was a French black metal band which was formed in Brest in 1992. The name originated from the 15th century Wallachian ruler, the inspiration for Bram Stoker's fictional vampire Dracula. The group belongs to The Black Legions. Worlok Drakksteim also has a side project named Black Murder. He is the composer of that band, while Wlad Drakksteim is the composer for Vlad Tepes. Vlad Tepes were one of the Black legions bands featured in the magazine The Black Plague - First Chapter (And Maybe Last One) in 1995.

After a number of self-released demos, the demo-tape War Funeral March (1994) was released on the American market by Full Moon Productions. It was followed the next year by March to the Black Holocaust, a split release with fellow Black Legions act Belkètre, issued on the french Embassy Productions. In 1996, another split album with the Black Legions project Torgeist, Black Legions Metal, was released by the French Drakkar Productions. Most of the releases don't surpass the 666 copies, unless they are bootlegged.

Von

Saturday, April 4, 2009

Von was a Second Wave black metal band from San Francisco, California, USA. They are thought to be the first American black metal band, and have strongly influenced the second wave of black metal.

Designed to be the ultimate minimalist black metal sendup, Von used the most basic riffs and songwriting concepts available to present a vision of demonic music as frenetic, simplistic and chaotic sound emerging in a continuity of linear energy. Pulsing drums play occasional fills but otherwise vary little, and guitars drone between two or three notes in a main riff that has one or two counterpoints in transitional subspecies of riffs which transfer direction in song development. Hilariously, Bathory-style disposable lead guitar stitches through many of these songs, making random-sounding diatribes with a sense of humor in their choice of points of harmonization.

Von have gained a cult following in the black metal underground since their disbandment and the few recordings of Von are considered classic and pioneering black metal. Prominent black metal bands have covered Von, either on record or live (or both), including The Beast, Dark Funeral, Enthroned,Krieg Taake and Watain (who are also named after a Von song), to mention a few examples. Also, in addition to spreading copies of the Satanic Blood demo, Varg Vikernes of Burzum did arguably direct promotion for Von by wearing their t-shirt in one of his murder trial sessions.

Morbid was a thrash/black metal band from Stockholm, Sweden that formed in 1986.

Morbid was formed in Stockholm, Sweden in 1986. With Per Yngve "Dead" Ohlin as the group's founder and mastermind, they had a revolving door of members before settling on the line-up of John "John Lennart" Hagström and "TG" on guitars, Jens Näsström on bass and Lars-Göran Petrov on drums. When "TG" left the band, Ulf Cederlund took over. The band then recorded their debut demo, December Moon, at Thunderload Studios in Stockholm on December 5-6, 1987. This was the only recording featuring this line-up, as Hagström quit and Ohlin left for Norway to join the legendary black metal band Mayhem. The remains of the band tried to carry on, and brought in photographer John Scarisbrick as a new vocalist. Scarisbrick happened to live near a recording studio named Sunlight, which would later gain some notoriety in death metal circles, recording bands like Entombed and Dismember. It was there that the band recorded their swan song, another demo entitled The Last Supper, in September 1988. The band faded as Petrov and Cederlund started Nihilist, which eventually turned into Entombed. Näsström later continued in the bands Contras and Skull.

Although Morbid only officially released two demos, they gained a certain cult-status after their demise, most likely due at least in part to Ohlin's efforts with Mayhem, and the fact that he committed suicide in 1991. Both the demo-recordings and various live/rehearsal tracks have later made it onto vinyl and CD, on both official and bootleg releases.

Morbid - Live from the past (Download)

1. My Dark Subconsious (Demo 1987)
2. Death Execution (Rehersal 1987)
3. Necrodeath (Rehersal 1987)
4. From The Dark (Rehersal 1987)
5. My Dark Subconsious (Live Sept. 1987)
6. Necrodeath (Live Sept. 1987)
7. Disgusting Semla (Live Sept. 1987)
8. From The Dark (Live Sept. 1987)
9. Wings Of Funeral (Demo 1987)

Awesome split between two great French Post-BM bands. Valfunde is the side project of Famine from Peste Noire, and Amesoeurs is one of the (many) projects of Neige (Peste Noire, Alcest, Forgotten Woods)

The first track is completely instrumental, nice though with no vocals while most of the fans said it's nothing and meaningless, i'll leave it on you to decide^^, the second track is just amazingly starts with emotional-melancholic guitar riffs then distorted guitars with black metal vocals, the third track which it's the highlight, It's quite lighter than the second track with the same light-soft clean lead riffs and female vocals.
I have no clue if you would like it or not but it's fine release.

Tracklisting:
=-=-=-=-=-=-=
01. Valdunde - Hopital (2:22)
02 . Valfunde - Serenade De Verlaine (4:27)
03. Amesoeurs - Les Ruches Malades (4:17)
Total Playing Time: 11:06.

Upsidedown Cross is a Doom metal band from Boston, Massachusetts formed in the late 1980s after Kilslug split-up. The band has only 4 official releases over the span of at least 17 fucking years and are no longer together.
If Sex Pistols played doom then they would sound just like these guys. The music is highly psychadelic and punk influenced on one side, but on the other side you can expect some godamned sludge. Tune it down to doom and you have a bad-ass combination. Actually when the band started to do recordings in the early 90's, the label Taang almost didn't sign them because they thought they were too weird and extreme.
Current line-up
Josh Martin (Adolf Satan, Anal Cunt, Impaled Northern Moonforest) - Guitar
Larry Lifeless (Kilslug, Adolf Satan)

Former/past member(s)
Seth Putnam (Anal Cunt, Vaginal Jesus, Executioner, Post Mortem (US), Adolf Satan, Full Blown AIDS, Angry Hate, Cuntsaw, Insult, Impaled Northern Moonforest, Satan's Warriors, Shit Scum, Sirhan Sirhan, You're Fired) - Guitar
Rico Pertoleum (Kilslug) - Drums
J. Masas (Dinosaur Jr., Deep Wound) - Drums (Witch (US))

They released two 7 inches (Warlocks, Witches, & Demons in 1982 and Necktie Party in 1983) and and an LP on Taang before singer Larry Lifeless - who, according to the rumours, has all the right to carry this name - went on to form Upsidedown Cross. Lead singer Larry Lifeless is now in a band called Adolf Satan.

Peste Noire is a black metal band from Avignon, France. It was founded by La Sale Famine de Valfunde in 2000 to express his hatred and despair and his passion for France in the Middle Ages. La sale Famine has been the main member and creative force behind Peste Noire since its inception, and, to date, all songs (lyrics, music and solos) were written by La sale Famine .The band is sometimes referred to as P.N. or K.P.N ("Kommando Peste Noire").
Peste Noire was born in the mind of one La sale Famine de Valfunde who wrote all songs (except one), solos, lyrics, concepts for Peste Noire since its inception. The other members aren't involved in the song-writing process. The different artworks were also chosen by and built around the ideas of one La sale Famine de Valfunde.

Famine’s French lyrics deal with evil, sickness, and madness, as well as Satanism. Famine himself said "P.N. is . . . indeed an extension of my inner self but not only. Above all else, P.N. is an extension of the Devil, its representation BY me. BECAUSE Satan enters into me, or BECAUSE He touches me from the outside, because in both cases I am brimful of Him . . . . Satan is the cause of my music, I am His means." [12]

Famine's vision of Black Metal is also based on nationalism as Peste Noire is proud of French cultural heritage, especially medieval France. Famine took some lyrics from medieval French writers such as François Villon (for the song "Ballade cuntre les anemis de la France"), Christine de Pisan (for the song "Dueil Angoisseus") and Guillaume de Machaut (for "Amour ne m'amoit ne je li") and from modern writers, such as Charles Baudelaire ("Le mort joyeux" and "Spleen"), Paul Verlaine ("Soleils couchants"), Tristan Corbière ("Paysage mauvais"), and Robert Brasillach ("Psaume IV"). They have been called[weasel words] a national-socialist band but Famine said they were French nationalists: "I am a nationalist, not a socialist... My two nations are : France d’Oïl and Hell."

Famine further explained why Peste Noire’s concept is based on nationalism when he stated "Black Metal is the musical memory of our bloodthirsty ancestors of blood, it is the marriage of Tradition, of old racial patrimony with fanaticism, with the rage and the rashness of a youth now lost. It is a CHTONIAN religion: a cult of the EARTH and a return to it, therefore a nationalism; a cult of what is BELOW the earth: Hell — the adjective “chtonian ” applies to the Infernal gods as well. BM is a fundamentalism, a music with integrity (from latin integer, complete) which helps me to remain complete in a dying world, amidst a people in decay, unworthy of its blood. It is the apology of the dark european past. It is a psychosis which helps us to flee a reality we cannot tolerate anymore."

Peste Noire, has always rejected the exposure of their music on the internet. There has never been any official P.N. website, nor any official P.N. myspace page. Two “fan myspace pages” currently exist (www.myspace.com/pestenoire and www.myspace.com/pestenoiremetal) but they are in no way official as they go against Famine’s vision of BM.[14]
